A Chapter of A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois, Inc.

A.B.A.T.E. was originally started by Easyriders magazine in 1971.
First incorporated in Illinois in 1975.
Incorporated a second time in Illinois in 1986.
The Will County Chapter was founded in 2003.

A.B.A.T.E. is not a club, gang, or a Harley group. We do not have back patches. Anyone who is interested in preserving their right to ride on- or off-road is welcome. Motorcycle ownership is not required. We are a not-for-profit organization, but we are not a charity. A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois' membership has over 60 chapters throughout the state.

The leadership of A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois consists of the Board of Directors comprised of one member from each chapter charged with setting policy, enforcing bylaws and guiding the organization. The elected Executive Board conducts the day-to-day affairs of the organization. Members of each chapter provide input to the State Boards through their board representatives and drive the organization.
